Talented Hip Hop artist, C-Fresh (23) has vowed to join Zozibini Tunzi, Trevor Noah and Black Coffee in lifting South Africa showbiz industry to higher levels all over the world.

In an exclusive interview with Showbiz Scope, the flamboyant Eastern Cape born recording artist and aspiring fashion entrepreneur opened up about his promising career, dream of working with Eemtee and his Tsolo home girl, Zozibini Tunzi to influence his career.

While talking about his music background, C-Fresh revealed how his music journey started and kept him going when it seemed as if his music career was not taking off.

‘’Music has always been part me from a young age. In fact, I think I still hold a record of being youngest independent Hip Hop artist in South Africa to have ever released a single while still attending high school. I together with my team (Mzimasi, Flow, Legend, Yanga and Thabo) achieved this milestone in 2012. At that time I was still doing grade 9 in Tsolo district. Of course there were difficult days but knowing that my time to shine will come kept me going.’’

The self-proclaimed Eastern Cape Hip Hop king and his team released his EP late last year. Out of that EP, two singles (Tsolo and Arguments) are on high rotation in some radio stations and C-Fresh is hoping that the two songs will help him in his quest of collaborating with Emtee.

‘’My team and I are very happy with what the two singles have done for us for now. I guess our unique style is resonating with Mzansi. Of course at this stage, as artist I am starting to think of other strategies on to build up on this momentum. Collaborations with already established artists like Eemtee is definitely of the things my team and I would love to do. We identify him specific because of his ability to effortlessly make hit song. Our dope talents can definitely produce a classic Hip Hop jams.’’ he said

Besides producing music, C-Fresh is also heavily involved in other entertainment business related revenue like fashion and events hosting (Back2thevill arts festival which takes places anually on the 25 December). According to him, venturing into entrepreneurship was inspired by Zozibini Tunzi, Trevor Noah and Black Coffee.

‘’My home girl Zozibini Tunzi’s breakthrough not just in South Africa but all over the world continues to inspire me. Zozibini, Trevor Noah and Black Coffee have direct origins from where I too was born but look at the amazing work they are doing in the world. Their achievements serve as reminder to someone like me that my dreams are valid, achievable and worth fighting for.’’ C-Fresh concluded
