Celebrated voice professional and media innovator Chilu Lemba has once again caught the attention of the global stage, securing a nomination at the upcoming Voice Arts® Awards in the category Outstanding Body of Work – International, Best Voiceover.
Dubbed the “Oscars of voice acting,” the Voice Arts® Awards are presented by the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVAS™) to honor remarkable contributions in voice performance and audio production worldwide.
This recognition is not unfamiliar territory for Lemba, who already holds three Voice Arts® Awards. What makes the 2025 nomination distinctive is its focus: it celebrates not just a single standout project, but the consistency and artistry demonstrated across an entire career. Eligibility requires at least fifteen years of professional presence, underscoring the longevity of his impact.

The honor caps a landmark year for the Zambian-born, South Africa–based artist. Earlier in 2025, the Zambia Institute of Marketing bestowed upon him the President’s Lifetime Award, acknowledging his decades-long influence on African media and storytelling.
Reflecting on the nomination, Lemba shared: “This category speaks to endurance and trust. A campaign might capture a moment, but a body of work reflects years of commitment. Representing African talent on this international platform is both humbling and inspiring.”

With a career spanning more than three decades, Lemba’s voice has become a fixture across the continent. Beyond commercial work, he has authored the memoir Finding My Voice (2019) and serves as a Brand South Africa ‘Play Your Part’ Ambassador, advocating for active citizenship and industry growth.
Winners will be revealed at the Voice Arts® Awards Gala on 18 January 2026, hosted at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.
