The Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) has collaborated with the SA Innovation Summit for a second year to bring the Fem-In-Tech Development Programme.

Building on the success of 2020 where over 500 female entrepreneurs from across the country were trained, and 20 top founders participated in a Demo Day at the 2020 Summit, Fem-In-Tech aims to reach and support more female entrepreneurs in various aspects of their business.
In addition to this, a number of founders managed to raise significant Venture Capital to build scalable businesses.

“Women are the largest untapped reservoir of talent in the world,” Hilary Clinton.

Fem-In-Tech Season 2 looks to empower more women entrepreneurs with the skills to build successful, investable and scalable businesses. In addition, the programme will help develop networks and partnerships to enable the growth of their businesses and increase their opportunities in the entrepreneurial space

“Thank you for all that you are doing for female entrepreneurs. I would not be where I am today without the opportunity and confidence that Fem-In-Tech provided.” Larisse Naidoo – Founder, Vedic Maths Africa (2020 Fem-In-Tech Participant)

Participants of the programme will undergo an online training programme, focused on the business model, pitching, and digitalization and procurement.

This will be followed by a Fem-In-Tech Demo Day at the SA Innovation Summit, to be hosted in Cape Town in September, where the top 20 female founders will have the opportunity to pitch to investors and funders

Calling all women-owned businesses at any stage of development in South Africa to apply for the Fem-In-Tech Development Programme. The stage is being set for the female founder takeover. Entries close on 30 June 2021
