Lasizwe Dambuza, can mark ‘host’ off his career check list as he takes on the new the role of presenter on the new music show to SABC 1 and TelkomONE this festive season, Telkom Monate Vibes.
The first show aired on Sunday, 15 November 2020 and will continue on for eight more weeks thereafter, with Lasizwe guiding it alone with co-host Anele Zondo.
According to an official statement from SABC 1, “This bold and exciting 1-hour long music show, Telkom Monte Vibes, exudes Telkom’s summer campaign messaging of Live Your Monate; providing viewers with a varying range of artists from different genres performing on a bold and dynamic stage with a live band. This production not only provides a live performance look and feel to viewers but also gives our performers another platform on which to showcase their craft and excite their fans.”
Fans took to social media following the airing of the first episode, with many complimenting him on his ability to hold the crowd and effortlessly speak on such a platform.
To which he responded with, “Thank you for watching. Next week same time same place.” Lasizwe is set to host the 9 shows which will feature some of Mzansi’s award-winning bands and musicians across genres; and of course legendary Kwaito group – TKZee, who kicked off the show last night.
He is currently the star of his own reality TV series, Fake It Till You Make It which airs weekly on MTV. The reality show is centred around his lifestyle as he gives fans a captivating glimpse of his oh-so-glamorous life and it also features some personal moments with his family.
