Leleti Khumalo who currently plays the role of Mazulu on ETV’s Imbewu The Seed will be joining Scandal according to a caption by Scandal’s Facebook page.
The caption read: “Guess who’s joining the #etvScandal! Crew.” Although it was hard to guess who the actress is because of the mask on her face, fans immediately picked up who it was.
Scandal is apparently scared of losing viewers, and their number one position on the channel and have opted to target the best actress on one of their competitors.
It is unclear what role Khumalo will play on Scandal and for how long.
Although some Scandal fans were supportive about the casting news, other’s still demanded answers about Hungani Ndlovu’s exit and were dissatisfied about Khumalo’s joining of the show. Leleti Khumalo is a powerhouse and a talented actress who’s been on Broadway and has acted in award-winning films such as Yesterday and Sarafina.
Before Imbewu The Seed, the actress played a pastor’s wife in Mzansi’s number soapie; Uzalo which was created by Duma Ndlovu.
