March 2020 I decided to take the leap of faith and join the entrepreneurial community alongside my mother-in-law Thandeka Marwanqa.
Mnandi Pantry Delights started from a sauce making skill that I got from my mother-in-law now business partner. As a foodie I found it difficult to find condiments that took my taste buds on a pleasure trip, this frustration birthed our first range of products; a chilies sauce range called Mnandi Sauce. These sauces enhance and elevate your food experience while giving you a blissful taste with a hint of heat.
We had the skill to make the lovey combinations of flavours and turn them into products but what we lacked and stood in our way of creating a legacy was the lack of business skill. Getting selected to be part of the AWIEF program was a great blessing and for 13 solid weeks, we were equipped with knowledge and skills of how to start and manage a sustainable business.
With those skills from AWIEF, we have tripled our production and have bagged two restaurants as our clients with whom we supply sauces on a weekly basis. I am currently based in Pretoria while my mother-in-law is based in Port Elizabeth.
Most production and packaging happens in Pretoria and stock is sent via courier services to PE to service our customer base in that region.
We are currently in the process of manufacturing new products to expand our product range. We are looking forward to penetrating the market and finding our products on store shelves and dinner tables.
We are on a journey of becoming a household favourite food pairing condiment. Our mission is to take our customers on a pleasure trip on the consumption of our product and hence create a legacy of good food.
