Miss South Africa Teen Opens Her Own Phone Store

‘Mara’ Phones has just opened its first South African store, at Maponya Mall in Soweto.

Chanté Jantjies, made it in history books by becoming the owner of this first Mara Experience Store.

Chanté Jantjies and entrepreneur officially opened her store on Thursday with other celebs and well wishers in attendance.

The affordable phone is made 100% in South Africa and powered by Android.

According to the company, this marks a step in the right direction for Africa’s home-grown smartphone brand – noting that it hopes to open 50 Mara Experience Stores, both company-owned and independently operated, before the end of 2022.
