Nomzamo Mbatha’s Brother Set To Star In A Dance Drama Series

South Africa is known for its unique dance moves, we even gave America our famous Gwara Gwara moves, I mean, it does not get better than that.

The trailer for the movie features industry greats such as Celeste Ntuli, Candice Modiselle, Stella Dlangalala, Noxolo Dlamini amongst others.

Describing the new release, Netflix said, ” A talented street dancer struggles while juggling the demands of a dead-end job, family responsibilities, and a rocky love life.

When she discovers a dance competition with a cash prize, she realizes that her moves could be the ticket out of her working-class neighbourhood in Durban.

All the moves we witness in the movie are choreographed by Candice’s sister, Bontle Modiselle and Tom London.

With Bontle choreographing the movie moves, we expect to see nothing but perfection and all the Amapiano dance moves.

The cast is filled with women which is what this industry needs right?! A movie that casts almost women only, that is beyond amazing.

Season 1 of Jiva aired yesterday on Netflix and we saw a “Talented street dancer from Umlazi, Durban confront her fears and deal with family objections to pursue her dancing dreams”.

Happiness Is A Four Letter Word’s Busisiwe Ntintili is the woman that wore most of the hats in the making of the movie.

Other locally produced shows that Netflix has hit us include the ever so amazing, Blood and Water, Shadow, Kings Of Joburg and Queen Sono amongst others.

Most people would love to see Blood and Water season’s 2 because it has been a while since the first season but we expect to see it soon.

With Queen Sono not getting a second season, we can only hope that season 2 of Kings of Joburg is coming soon because that series had a lot of cliffhangers that we would love to see sorted out.

We cannot wait to see what else Netflix has in store for us.
