‘Durban Gen’, the story of a local medical drama, brought to live by ‘Stained Glass TV’. The show is set in the heart of Newlands East has announced to be part of the e.TV family. The announcement of their cast has proven to have familiar and talented faces.
Ntando Mncube forms part of the fundamental cast of the medical show, airing from Monday, 5 October 2020. The multi-talented media personality will be taking on the character of Sibusiso Dlamini. A generous businessman, engaged to Dr Mbali Mthethwa, played by Nelisiwe Sibiya.

He said, “There is no difference from me and Sibusiso. Love is a tricky thing. Besides that, you have to trust in hundred percent. As it can mess up your whole life, can take away your career, make people dislike you, but you need to stand up by what you believe in. So I don’t see any difference between me and Sibusiso, we are all fighting in the name of ‘love’.”
The show was shot during the horrific times of the pandemic, but for Ntando the show came at the right time when he just accepted God. He believes this is the character that was sent to him by God to show how passionate he is about his calling.
Somehow he found some moments humorous when shooting during the uncertain and intensely times. “We are actors and we are touchy and kissy. I as Sibusiso, I’m in love with my partner, Mbali on scene. So you have to kiss your partner but then you don’t kiss, you have to hug. I always made a joke in my head about that and say ‘oh yes, it’s the hugging time,” he concluded.
The show is set to air on weekdays from October 5 at 6.30 pm, Openview Channel 104 and DStv channel 194.
