Gospel superstars Puleng March, Putuma Tiso, Zaza Mokhethi, and Takie Ndou are some of the artists scheduled to perform at the first annual New Year Gospel Festival scheduled to take place on the 8th of January 2022 at the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens in Emmarentia.

Other artists include Omega Khunou, Mpho Mutula, Lucas Maloma, and Cannan Nyathi together with Mosa Confidence Maake.

The artists booked are the most decorated gospel singers in their own right. Puleng March is a PK from Kimberley who started as a backup singer for South Africa’s leading gospel singer, the late Lundi Tamara.

Takie Ndou is the recent 14th Crown Gospel Award winner in the Best Gospel Songwriter and Best Gospel Album. He is also one of the best gospel performers in Limpopo who released Imvula Iyetathis year in April.

The Port Elizabeth-born performer Putuma Tiso has amassed a loyal fan base since her debut album a few years ago. She has graced some of South Africa’s biggest stages including the Cape Town Jazz Festival.

New Year Gospel Festival is a vibrant gospel music festival organized by gospel enthusiasts who founded the festival after seeing the need to start the year on a high note.
