Ubuntu Music Festival Is Dedicated To South Africa’s Resilience

On 12 December, the Ubuntu Music Festival will bring South Africans together for an evening of music, reflection and celebration at the Isikhumbuto Amphitheatre at the Freedom Park in Pretoria.

“The Freedom Park is a symbol of our unity, where our past, present and future converge. Every single space is infused with special meaning. It was the most logical choice as the home Ubuntu Music Festival.

Music has always played a huge role in moving our country forward. We hope that this Festival will encourage us in our journey of social cohesion and most importantly remind us of our shared humanity. This year’s Festival is dedicated to South Africa’s resilience through the Covid-19 pandemic.”, said Jane Mofamadi, the CEO of Freedom Park.

The lineup of this inaugural instalment of the Ubuntu Music Festival boasts a mix of music genres:

With a special performance of MXO featuring the Tshwane Gospel Choir. The event will be hosted by Ubuntu Music Festival is brought to you by Freedom Park in partnership with Mkhaya School of Music and Tshwane Gospel Choir and the (dot.).africa our online hosting partners.

Music lovers can join the Festival by attending the live event at Freedom Park (R200) or via live stream (R100). There is a limited number of tickets available for the live event and all Covid-19 safety will be observed as stipulated for outdoor events. Tickets are available via iTickets:
