Uzalo tells the story of two family dynasties and the two young men who carry their hopes and legacies, as they learn the complexities of money, family and love.
The families reside at opposite ends of the most affluent street in Kwa-Mashu. On one end, you’ll find the humble Mdletshe Family, whose patriarch presides over the charismatic Kingdom of Canaan Church and its promising Gospel choir.
On the other end of the street are the Xulus, who runs a burgeoning, international criminal enterprise, exporting stolen luxury vehicles. Joined by an untold secret both families battle for the soul of Kwa-Mashu.

A revelation threatens to tear apart a long-term friendship while Mondli stumbles across an uncomfortable truth. Sibonelo continues to hide the truth from Nkunzi and Mrs. Madlala gives Njeza an eyeful.
TUESDAY, 10 AUGUST
Nkunzi warns Sambulo against breaking Zekhethelo’s heart, else he’ll have to answer to him. The Smirnoff x KwaNjomane launch commences with DBN Gogo bringing the house on fire. Screwdriver assists Sbu in tweaking his MjoloApp profile in order to get matches for potential dates.
WEDNESDAY, 11 AUGUST
Mjolo seems to be the new craze taking over KwaMashu, everyone is looking for a piece of the Mjolo. Nkunzi is given a family task that will leave a legacy for all future Mhlongo’s. Wedding bells are in the air.
THURSDAY, 12 AUGUST
The Mjolo app is finally working for Madongwe. While Zekhethelo is stood up at the altar. Is the wedding still on?
FRIDAY, 13 AUGUST
PASTOR GWALA receives earth-shattering news while Zekhethelo’s dream of being. Mrs. Gwala hangs in the balance and Nosipho and Njeza’s romance blossoms.
MONDAY, 16 AUGUST
Sambulo finally meets his parents but it’s not the kind of people he wanted, Zekhethelo must decide on her relationship with Sambulo and Mrs. Madlala’s trickery pays off.
TUESDAY, 17 AUGUST
Amidst all the chaos and disruption, Zekhethelo and Sambulo find their way back to each other arms again. Mrs. Madlala and Sbu catfish each other on the Mjolo App.

Gabisile’s return is all everybody is talking about. While Nosipho and Njeza give each other ultimatums.
TUESDAY, 24 AUGUST
Gabisile pleads to the church to give her a second chance. Pastor Gwala is left conflicted when the reception he expected from his parents is contrary to his expectations. MaDongwe and Mrs. Madlala decide it’s time they set a double date with destiny.
WEDNESDAY, 25 AUGUST
Nkunzi bonds with his sons. Pastor Gwala commits to marrying Zekhethelo. Nosipho is rejected by Njeza’s family.
THURSDAY, 26 AUGUST
Hlelo is put under pressure to reveal Gabisile’s plans. Zekhethelo think it best for Gwala not to reveal to the shlobos that he’s Nkunzi’s son. Madlala and MaDongwe finally go on their dates.
FRIDAY, 27 AUGUST
Gabisile faces off with the police while Nosipho confronts MaDongwe and her double standards. Nyawo shoots himself in the foot.
MONDAY, 30 AUGUST
Cracks start to show in PASTOR GWALA and Zekhethelo’s relationship as it becomes apparent that they both want different things out of life. Nyawo’s quest at finding a beautiful lady to pose as Samke prove harder than he anticipated.
TUESDAY, 31 AUGUST
Zekhethelo goes too far with her plan to make an impression. Gabisile is treated like a leper. The surprise engagement party is off to a shaky start.
