Meet serial entrepreneur, Zinhle Pearl Cebekhulu. The 27-year-old is the founder of organic tea company called Chanu & Tea Studyo. The A – List business and leisure tea store is based in Northcliff, Johannesburg.
Armed with Psychology and Public management and administration degree and eDiploma in graphic designing, Cebekhulu started her illustrious entrepreneurship career by co-developing the “Soccer News Start-up” from a print newspaper to a digital application and podcast which then attracted TEL-AVIV venture capital funding under the Microsoft SMES Development program.
In 2017 in partnership with Absa, she successfully launched and hosted Suppliers Development Seminars at Centre of Entrepreneurship.
Through, Master Tasters, Donte & Chanu and Tea Studyo, Cebekhulu is quickly becoming an icon in the Tea industries. Her horticultural projects in South Africa, farming botanicals is a major job creator in agriculture and consequently in manufacturing and in the retail sector. Furthermore, Cebekhulu tea companies are strategically expanding to several global cities like Colombo Sri Lanka, Singapore, Manila Philippines and Sidney Australia.
She has also served as a member of various business development boards like National economic ICT forum in the Department of Postal Services and Telecoms reviewing SMME development policies.
Ms Cebekhulu, as Executive Marketing Specialist is now involved on a multi Billion project, Waste2Energy one of SA flagship program. Waste2Energy a South African black owned company purely focused on energy generation sector.
Waste2Energy will effectively be a minority partner to Earth Sea Corporation based in the UK. ESC is the project owners who intend to produce electricity and syngas from waste or biomass in 202. The project will be one of its kinds in South Africa with zero pollution effect to the environment thus help with load shedding problem, creating 69000 direct and indirect jobs.
As an innovator, philanthropist, entrepreneur, Ms Cebekhulu is a much focused business woman. She is quickly becoming an icon leader in the many fields, and been an inspiration to many. She is known for her lifelong ambition, energy and determination in achieving immense success both as a Tea prominence and business woman.
